LUSAKA Avengers picked their consecutive win of the Football Association of Zambia Premier Futsal League FAZ/PFL by beating Mudi Stars 5-3 in a Week-4 fixture played on Thursday at Automotive Indoor Futsal Arena.

The impressive win over Mudi Stars who had defeated Siavonga Beetles 9-8 last weekend propelled Avengers to fifth on the Super League table with six points.

It was Mudi Stars second loss of the season after the 3-2 loss to Chipata Boys on match day one of the FAZ/PFL.

Meanwhile, defending champions Automotive Futsal Academy will aim to bounce back from the 3-3 stalemate when they take on CSS Petauke who will be fighting to bounce back from the 8-4 bashing by Green Buffaloes last weekend.

Last weekend’s result was a wake-up call for the defending champions who will have to fight hard to retain the title as they face stiff competition from Kafue Saints, Green Buffaloes and Kitwe Bullets who have shown characters of a champion.

Petauke have only managed one win from three games and today’s game against the defending champions presents another tough test for Petauke who have never won a match against Automotive. In other fixtures scheduled for today at the Automotive Futsal Arena, Green Buffaloes will fight to maintain their unbeaten record when they play hosts to struggling Monze George.

Monze George are winless in the last three FAZ/PFL matches while Buffaloes will fight for maximum points in a quest to claim top spot on the Futsal League table.

Siavonga Beetles will seek redemption from the 9-8 defeat to Mudi Stars when they take on Chipata Boys who are also aiming to bounce back from last weekend’s 5-2 defeat to Kitwe Bullets.

After holding Auto to a 3-3 stalemate last weekend, Warriors FC will seek to collect maximum points when they take on BS Stars who are coming from a disappointing 8-4 defeat to Lusaka Avengers.
