SOME  successful recruitment  candidates whose names were published in the newspapers have not received letters of appointments despite assurances from   Health minister, Sylvia Masebo,  recently.

The affected health workers who had sought the audience of the minister were supposed to receive their appointment letters by September 1, 2022 but this did not happen.

On August 25, 2022 the minister of Health Silvia Masebo said there was no need for health personnel who have not received their appointment letters to panic and assured them that by September 1, 2022 they would all get their letters.

But according  to a group of the recruited health workers who withheld their identity for fear of being victimised expressed shock that upto now the ministry of Health had not given them the appointment letters.

They said that they were tired of visiting the offices of the minister on a daily basis only to be told excuses every day that their names were not in the system yet.

They narrated that it was depressing after seeing their names in the newspapers and later only to be told that their names were not in the system.

They also said that they were not the only ones who were affected as there were a lot of people country wide who have even created WhatsApp groups for easy communication with each other.

They further said the issues of frequenting the offices of the ministry of Health was not only tiresome but was costly because they come from far places.
